Honolulu, HI, May 27, 2014, Colleen L. Curl, Senior Command Traffic Manager for the United States Air Force, has been recognized by Elite American Military for dedication, achievements and leadership in logistics and traffic management.

Ms. Curl enlisted in the Air Force when she was 17 and has spent more than 28 years serving her country in a variety of capacities. She assumed her position as senior command traffic manager in December 2010. In her role, Ms. Curl directs sourcing of Air Expeditionary Forces while supporting them with operational, training and equipment support for deployment, and manages functional oversight of Air Force cargo movement, personal property and passenger travel policies and procedures for 11 operating bases supporting the Pacific Air Force Command.

The military has offered her ample opportunities to grow professionally and personally. Ms. Curl lived in several countries, and she has been instrumental in assisting military families relocate and helping them to achieve their goals and to acquire success. For her exceptional work, Ms. Curl was promoted to the enlisted rank of E-9/Chief Master Sergeant, which is a rank that is only given to the top 1 percent of the Air Force enlisted force. Ms. Curl also received three Meritorious Service Medals, seven Air Force Commendation Medals, a Joint Service Commendation Medal, and a Joint Service Achievement Medal.

She attributes her success to her upbringing. Her mother and father raised her to perform as well as anyone else. In the coming years, Ms. Curl intends to teach at a university as a professor. She also hopes to obtain a Ph.D.
