Leawood, Kansas | November 10, 2010 | Major Jennifer L. Burgett, MBA, Director of the 442nd Fighter Wing of the United States Air Force, has been recognized by Elite American Military for her dedication, experience, and leadership in military service.
Ms. Burgett served for over three decades with the United States Air Force. After leaving active duty she gained vast experience in quality audit, GAP analysis, and applied standardized processes at Honeywell International. Currently Ms. Burgett is the Process Improvement Manager for Black and Veatch Holding Company’s Quality Management Services Department. As the Process Improvement Manager, Ms. Burgett ensures continual development of standardized processes, works on scheduling, maintains quality and productivity, performs GAP analysis, and interacts with engineering and project management teams. A certified Quality Auditor, Ms. Burgett also audits, trains, and certifies lead auditors for Black and Veatch Holding Company. She dedicates her work to clear any obstacles or issues that may impede others from completing their task. Understanding that everyone, including her, will make mistakes, she recognizes that her colleagues, mentors, and leaders are factors that have attributed to her success. To truly be successful, Ms. Burgett states “do not raise the bar for your organization (or colleagues) if you’re tripping over the bar you have set for yourself”.
Honored to have the opportunity to serve her country in the United States Air Force, Ms. Burgett recently earned a Master of Science in military operations from the USAF Air University. She holds a Master of Business Administration from West Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in liberal arts from Baker College.
