Blackfoot, ID, April 7, 2011, Kenyon Kofoed, Lieutenant Colonel for Logistics, Armor and Artillery for the U.S. Army, has been recognized by Elite American Military for dedication, achievements and leadership in military service.
Mr. Kofoed has dedicated four decades of his life to dutifully serving his country; he began his career during the Vietnam War. Having achieved the rank of lieutenant colonel, he is charged with overseeing the training, transportation and supplies for anywhere between 15,000 to 35,000 soldiers. Mr. Kofoed has been recognized for his service with many prestigious awards and honors, including the Legion of Merit, a meritorious service medal with three oak leaf clusters, an Army commendation medal with three oak clusters, an Army reserve component achievement medal with 10 oak leaf clusters and the National Defense Service Medal with two bronze service stars. He holds a reputation as a leader who is reliable and capable of accomplishing a large variety of tasks.
Mr. Kofoed graduated from Somerset University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2004. Also holding a Master of Business Administration in project management, he maintains an immense knowledge base through continuing education. He is professionally affiliated with the National Eagle Scout Association, the International Facilities Managers Association and Quartermaster Officer Association. In his leisure time, Mr. Kofoed enjoys scuba diving, spending time with his three children and 12 grandchildren, and building experimental aircraft.
Moving forward, Mr. Kofoed plans to retire from the U.S. Army and explore employment opportunities within the private sector.
