Maj. Jeffrey A. Wesley is a Group Commander for the Civil Air Patrol. With a refined background in aviation maintenance and quality assurance, Maj. Wesley shines in his current capacity, bringing forth award-winning talents when training on orientation flights for all of ROTC for the U.S. and helping students understand how the flights operate, and managing community emergency services. He also oversees three counties on emergency management, ground team, congressional mandated to provide aerospace education for kids in local schools, supervises subordinate aerospace education instructors, providing guidance for them to better understand how planes and flights work, and provides all day-to-day opportunities to make sure they are getting the training they need. He teaches classes, which include a corporate leadership course, and on how to lead and direct, and on management techniques. In 2005, Maj. Wesley received a number of honors, which included an award for the Air National Guard Command Controller of the Year, and the Michigan Air National Guard Command of the Year award. He attributes his success to his desire to expand his knowledge. Aviation is the one field he has enjoyed focusing on, and to each aircraft that he operates differently.
