Jason Rochester is a Chaplain for the U.S. Navy, and with a strong teaching background, he serves dutifully to provide services for the overall spiritual well-being for approximately 2,000 individuals, military personnel and families. “It’s most rewarding to see how lives change,” Lt. Rochester recently said in an EliteAMERICAN interview. “I had the opportunity to talk to people about the deepest issues and challenges that they face,” he revealed. “I like improving people’s quality of life.”
Lt. Rochester has been a military chaplain for six years. In his capacity, he oversees services and ensures that the individuals with whom he works are able to maintain spiritual, mental and emotional balance. He also helps military personnel and their families to achieve optimal health and stability. Lt. Rochester both a calling to the ministry and to serve his country; this led him to the United States Navy. In 2003, he received his Master’s Degree in Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has since been able to remain abreast of trends and developments in his field as a member of The Marine Corp League, Inc. and the local clergy council.
Ever passionate about his work, Lt. Rochester always feels that he could be of added value to his field by helping as many people as he possibly can. In feeling that his quest to improve conditions for people around the nation is never quite complete, Lt. Rochester strives for excellence in his every endeavor. “The problem with ministry or chaplaincy is that we want to be able to change everybody and solve everything,” he said, and he makes every effort to make things better for the people he encounters every day.
