DEL RIO, TX, April 18, 2012, Dorothy Thomas, E7 for the Airman & Family Readiness Center of the U.S. Air Force, has been recognized by Elite American Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in military support services.
Ms. Thomas is currently a non-commissioned officer who is responsible for caring for deployed airmen and their families. She conducts pre-deployment and re-integration briefings, and makes resources available as needed for the airmen and their relatives. She also presents families that remain on the base with events that boost morale.
Ms. Thomas previously worked in a medical laboratory, and handled pediatrics, immunization, family health and coverage. In addition, she provided training to lower ranking airmen. Ms. Thomas has amassed more than 20 years of professional experience, and she continues to strive for excellence in her every endeavor. Specializing in airmen and family support, immunizations and allergy testing, Ms. Thomas hopes to be remembered by her peers as an individual who was always there to assist people with a smile on her face.
Attributing her success to her strong moral values, Ms. Thomas is grateful to have embarked on a professional journey that has allowed her to have helped countless families of soldiers to adjust to their surroundings. She was inspired to pursue her current career path by a long-standing desire to see the world. In following her dreams, Ms. Thomas received an Associate Degree in Arts and Communication Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She is a member of the Laughlin Air Force Base, and she looks forward to attaining a management role in the near future.
