SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY, July 10, 2013, Captain April L. Habib, Human Resources Officer for the United States Army, has been recognized by Elite American Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in military recruitment and human resources.
In her executive leadership role within the government organization dedicated to the protection of the United States, Captain Habib takes charge by maintaining overall accountability for battalion resources and serving as personnel advisor to the Commander. She is also responsible for handling battalion replacements, and ensuring that the battalion always has the correct number of members, which can range from 300 to 1,200 members. Captain Habib spent nine years in recruitment before enlisting, and got into the field because she enjoyed helping others in a professional capacity that helps them personally as well.
Upon reflecting on a rewarding career in the military, Captain Habib pinpoints a major professional highlight as her being inducted into the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club. She was not happy with her professional development while she was in college and had always wanted to travel, so she decided she would join the United States Army. She then became involved in recruitment after gaining experience as an enlisted soldier, and experiencing a natural progression of opportunities until becoming an officer. She was recently promoted to Captain and has experienced tremendous growth. She attributes her success to her perseverance and the support she has received from great mentors that have given her good professional guidance.
