STATEN ISLAND, NY, February 26, 2013, COL Tucker Osborne has been recognized by Elite American Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in all aspects of military service.
COL Tucker Osborne embarked on her military career in 1984, and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, Army Corps and was assigned to the 307th General Hospital in New York City, NY. Her military assignments have been numerous and includes: Clinical Intensive Care Nurse 307th General Hospital, Medical Surgical Nurse, 344th General Hospital, Officer in Charge, Trauma Training Program, Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, NY, Credential Officer, 8th Medical Brigade; and she currently serves as Chief Nurse at the 8th Medical Brigade at Ft. Wadsworth, Staten Island, NY. COL Tucker Osborne has recently returned from a 9-month tour in Kuwait, where she served as Chief, Clinical Operations for the 3D MDSC OCP (FWD).
Among COL Tucker Osborne’s awards and decorations are the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Overseas Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Award, and Meritorious Service Medal. In addition to holding a Master’s Degree in Long Term Care Administration, Post Master’s in Nurse Education, Legal Nurse Consultant, she is also a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the States of NY, NJ and Delaware and has served as a Nursing Home Administrator for a 199-bed non-traditional Nursing Home in Bronx, New York. Her military education includes AMEDD Officer Basic and Advanced Course, Army Department Head Nurse Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Command and General Staff College, to name a few.
As a civilian, COL Tucker Osborne serves as Director, Clinical Affairs/Quality Management for New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation where she reviews and monitors QAC reports for six Acute Care Hospitals, four Long Term Care facilities, and three Diagnostic and Treatment Care Facilities. In addition, she discusses with those facilities their reports, minutes and presentations for Board review. COL Tucker Osborne’s functions include: review aggregation, analysis and reporting of Quality Assurance data and statistics. She assists and facilitates in developing plans of corrections to citations regarding their statement of deficiencies, and performs expert technical assistance. Additionally, she acts as a resource and supporter of HHC facilities on regulatory and accreditation requirements and standards, and provides training as needed.
Over the course of an illustrious career, COL Tucker Osborne has garnered a reputation of distinction for her outstanding efforts, receiving accolades for her exceptional work. She has earned a National Defense Medal, as well as a Meritorious Service Medal and a Commendation Medal from the United States Army. She attributes her success to the support and encouragement she received from her parents.
COL Tucker Osborne was inspired to pursue her current career path by a long standing interest in pediatrics and geriatrics. Motivated by an innate desire to help others in a professional arena, she has made a name for herself in health care administration, and she continues to build on an ever emergent skill set. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Long-Term Care Administration, a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration, a Post-Master’s Certification in Nursing Education, and a Post-Master’s Certification in Legal Nurse Coaching. She is also a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the States of New York, New Jersey and Delaware.
